The night Bruno Mars became Hawaii's brightest star ever

Open note to Bruno Mars:
Well done, bro.
You did a super-duper job as the halftime headliner at the Super Bowl.
You delivered a solid show fueled with your energy and your charm.
You had the live crowd in the palms of your hand.
You were professional through and through — as singer, dancer and host.
You let know one down. You are right up there with the best, and don’t let anyone tell you other wise.
You killed ‘em.
Just the way you were, when you were that kiddo Elvis singer as a youth.
Just the way you are now, as the global giant.
Can’t wait for your hometown return April 18 and 19 at the Blaisdell Arena.
The governor and the mayor surely will be doing the Bruno Mars Day proclamations.
Then again, you deserve it.
You have emerged as Hawaii’s brightest star. Ever.
super

Hmm.. tickets for my bday... :)

Loved the last song he did best! Never was a fan of RHCP, though. I liked his drumming, too... lots of energy!

it seems some may not have known him much, NOW the do!

Thanks for mentioning my composition, "It's Christmas (All Over The World)," which Bruno sang (as five-year-old Peter Hernandez a.k.a. "Elvis,") in the December 1990 Aloha Bowl half-time show. I hope when he records a Christmas CD, he'll remember his stadium debut and include that internationally popular song (thanks to a number of recordings, including two by John Rowles, who made it a hit in Australia, New Zealand, England). Mahalo ia `oe, e Wayne.

So proud of Bruno and he has come so far since I first met him when he was only 2 running around in Kapiolani Park when his mom & dad were performing and then through the years watching him perform on stage with his family. Congrats to Bruno also on his latest Grammy.

Bruno Mars was awsome at the half time show! I was blown away the first time I saw him perform on T V. But this show was pure magic. He is an incredible performer with so much talent. I only wish I still lived in Honolulu so I could catch his show at the Blaisdell. I'm sure his shows will be fantastic. Aloha & Mahalo from a guy who loves Hawaii and wishes the best to Bruno & his band for a great show and a long successful career as a fabulous entertainer!
